My name is Jorge. In the web, I usually go by jvican.
I work as a Senior Software Engineer team at Netflix. My team owns the Netflix notebooks infrastructure and other products for data scientists. Formerly, I worked at the Scala Center on the Scala programming language.
I have deep expertise in build systems, compilers, virtual machines and developer tools. I have authored and maintained several libraries in the open-source. I have experience profiling and optimizing complex systems.
I'm always on the lookout for high-impact projects that can make engineers and scientists more productive. If you'd like to collaborate with me, reach out at jorge at vican.me or contact me via Twitter at @jvican.
